Astra Vertex 50 is a slow-speed, high-resolution 35mm black and white film rated at ISO 50. Produces extraordinarily sharp images with virtually grainless tonality.

Respooled from Adox HR-50, a document-origin emulsion adapted for pictorial photography. Naturally leans toward higher contrast with deep blacks and bright highlights - contrast can be managed by pulling in development or using a compensating developer like Atomal. Best for architecture, daylight street photography, still life, and detail-driven landscapes.

Standard B&W. Processing-  pairs well with Rodinal for maximum sharpness or Atomal 49 for smoother tonal gradation.
