Adox FX-39 TYPE II Film Developer 500ml

A high-acutance, liquid concentrate black-and-white film developer designed to deliver exceptional sharpness, fine detail rendition, and increased effective film speed. Based on Geoffrey Crawley’s legendary FX-39 formula and further refined by ADOX, this compensating developer is especially well suited for low- and medium-speed films while also performing excellently with classic ISO 400 emulsions.

FX-39 is derived from Willi Beutler’s renowned Neofin Rot formula and has been continuously optimized for over 40 years. The updated Swiss-produced formulation offers improved concentrate stability while preserving the characteristic sharpness, tonal separation, and resolution that made FX-39 a darkroom classic.

Directions :

Standard Dilution: 1+9 for one-shot processing.
High Dilution: 1+19 for increased compensating effect with approximately 75% longer development times. Higher dilution slightly reduces effective film speed while increasing highlight control and tonal compression.

Capacity :

500ml concentrate — sufficient to process approximately 20 rolls of film depending on dilution and tank size.

Safety :

Use in well-ventilated areas. Wear protective gloves and eye protection. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
